Zeenat Nagree is an independent writer and curator. She studied art history at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus on the circulation of the concepts of indigenism and internationalism in India from the 1960s to 1980s. Nagree regularly contributes to Art India and Artforum among other publications and writes essays for exhibitions. She has recently curated projects at Mumbai Art Room, Clark House Initiative, and Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai. Nagree's practice is centred on the idea of writing with art rather than about art. She divides her time between Bombay and Montreal.
